Creating and Sending in Your Album through Cascade

You may use Cascade software to design your album or book and post it to the Album Manager site. Events that have been uploaded via the Cascade software are automatically activated for you. Read below for details.

Using Cascade Software
    1. Create a new Project Folder and pick your Product
    2. Browse to your Images and choose the options for that product
    3. Choose a template or use the Cascade tools to create or customize the template and drop in your image(s) or drag your predesigned page in place
    4. Select any image or template options you may want
    5. Click Next to move to the next page and continue until you’ve completed designing all your pages
    6. Choose the Publish Preview button at the bottom of the Cascade screen *This automatically saves the order, please do not delete it, you will need to come back to this order to make changes and/or to place the final order*
    7. You may opt to add background music provided by Triple Scoop Music
    8. Click Upload Preview
    9. Enter your BRI email log in and password and choose Sign In
    10. Follow the prompts to name the event, choose to email your clients and that wording as well as choosing the event password. When complete, click Upload so Cascade can prepare the file for transmission
    11. You’ll be prompted to choose Upload Now or Upload Later
    12. Events are posted within a few minutes and you and your clients, if you chose, will receive an email letting you know that it’s available
    13. Cascade events are automatically activated, no further action is needed
Making Edits through Cascade

When your client requests a change to their album or book pages, updating the online event is a breeze with Cascade!

    1. From the Cascade Home screen, double-click on the Project folder and then choose Open
    2. Make the needed adjustments to the pages and/or cover
    3. Choose the Publish Preview button at the bottom of the Cascade screen when all edits have been completed *This automatically saves the order, please do not delete it, you will need to come back to this order to make changes and/or to place the final order*
    4. You may opt to add background music provided by Triple Scoop Music
    5. Click Upload Preview
    6. Enter your BRI email log in and password and choose Sign In
    7. Follow the prompts to name the event, choose to email your clients and that wording as well as choosing the event password. When complete, click Upload so Cascade can prepare the file for transmission
    8. You’ll be prompted to choose Upload Now or Upload Later
    9. Events are posted within a few minutes and you and your clients, if you chose, will receive an email letting you know that it’s available
    10. This new event is automatically activated and overwrites the original, no further action is needed (You may find that you and/or your client will need to clear your Internet history to view the newly uploaded changes.)
Client Experience and Checkout Process with Cascade Events

Because Cascade uploads low resolution images to Approve My Album, these events are for viewing purposes only. After your client communicates their final approval, the final check out process will happen in the Cascade software itself.

    1. Once your clients have located the event, they’ll enter the password if you’ve assigned one
    2. Next, they’ll be presented with a very realistic flip show which displays the cover, the fly papers and the pages
    3. Clients can move to different pages by choosing Next and Prev (for previous) or they may opt to use the thumbnail display below the flip book
    4. Beneath the images, the customer may click the Change My Album button to email you of desired changes or they may click the Email Photographer button to pass along a message of approval or other note

When you are ready to send the Cascade album or book to print, you’ll need to utilize the Cascade software on the computer where the order was created.

    1. From the Cascade Home screen, click on the Project folder and then Open
    2. Make any needed changes or click Add to Cart on the lower right
    3. Depending on the product, you may have some reminders/complimentary product offerings that appear at this time; click Next
    4. From the Order you’ll see the product listed with the option to add a studio sample (and Companion Books if ordering certain albums); mark any needed options and click Next
    5. Enter your Black River Imaging email log in and password
    6. Fill in your Reference information, any notes and indicate drop shipping if needed. (The drop ship address will be entered on a subsequent screen.)
    7. Fill in billing information and click Next
    8. Confirm your order and enter any applicable Gift Cards or Promotion Codes; click Finish
    9. Click Send Order Now and watch for an email confirmation within an hour of completion of the upload
