Framed Single Metal Prints Overview

What makes Framed Metal Prints unique? We use special high-heat inks and a technique called dye-sublimation to print your image on aluminum, giving your photo vivid details comparable to high-definition television. Because the inks are fused into the specially coated metal, each print is so life-like it appears to shine from within. The hard, scratch-resistance Metal Print is paired with one of our many handmade Frames for an unforgettable wall display that arrives ready to hang.

Sizes

Framed Metal Prints range from 5x5" to 24x36".

Metal Print Surfaces

Metal Prints come in 5 Surfaces: High Gloss, Mid Gloss, Satin, Sheer Glossy and Sheer Satin. Add an extra $2.50 per print for Mid Gloss surface.

Performance EXT

With the new Performance EXT Metal, Metal Prints will last 2-3 years in direct sunlight without noticeable fading. Specially engineered for outdoor art, photography, signage and display. Available with a High Gloss surface. Adds 2 business days to in-lab turnaround time.

Metal Print Corner Options

With Float Frames, your Metal Print is mounted with a 1/4" space between the frame and the Metal Print. Because the Metal Print corners are revealed, choose from 4 Corner Options: Sharp Square, 1/8" Rounded, 3/16" Rounded or Scalloped.

For all other Frame Styles, only Metal Prints with Sharp Square Corners are available.

Frame Styles

Our hand-crafted metal and wood moulding frames range from classic to modern, see the Frames tab for details.

Wood Frames are made with genuine solid wood with a rich grain and slight variations in finish. Float Frames are solid wood and mounted with a 1/4" space between the frame and the Metal Print.

Barnwood Frames are made from cleaned, re-purposed wood. The rough, time-worn imperfections make each Barnwood Frame totally unique. See the Frames tab for details.

Mounting

Framed Metal Prints are finished with a Black Paper Backing with Wire Hanger.

Retouching

Retouching enhances your image for a flawless print. Choose from a variety of Retouching Services in the checkout cart. Additional fees apply.

Metal Print Quality and Care

Metal Prints are coated using state-of-the-art coating machines. But the coating sometimes contains small imperfections such as small craters or bumps. We inspect each sheet very carefully and if there are imperfections we place them in the most unobtrusive parts of the image. We cannot remake Metal Prints due to these imperfections unless they are located in a very prominent part of the image. Metal Prints are weatherproof and moisture proof, but they will fade like a normal photograph, so please avoid direct sunlight.
